Terms of service
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply when you use KeepQR, including the free generator at keepqr.co.uk, the dashboard and the short links at go.keepqr.co.uk. Please read them. We've kept them as short and plain as we can.
1. Who we are
KeepQR is a product of TPS505 Ltd.
KeepQR is a product of TPS505 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16788028). Our registered office is 244 Desborough Road, Eastleigh, England, SO50 5NH. Our VAT number is GB525904585. You can contact us at contact@tps505.com.
In these terms, "we" and "us" means TPS505 Ltd, and "you" means the person or business using KeepQR.
2. What KeepQR provides
Static codes are free and need no account. They are made in your browser and contain your link or other content directly. They don't pass through our servers, so they keep working whatever happens to KeepQR. You can use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, with no attribution required.
Editable codes are paid for once. Each one contains a short link at go.keepqr.co.uk. When it's scanned, we forward the person to the destination you've set. You can change the destination, pause and resume the code, and see daily scan counts from your dashboard.
3. Your account
You need an account to buy and manage editable codes. You sign in with a link or code sent to your email address, so keep access to that email account secure. You're responsible for what happens in your KeepQR account. You must be at least 13 to create an account, and if you're under 18 you should have permission from a parent or guardian to buy.
4. Prices and payment
- An editable code costs £4.99. A pack of 10 editable codes costs £19.00.
- All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current UK rate.
- Every purchase is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions, renewals or recurring charges.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details.
- A purchase adds credits to your account. One credit makes one editable code.
- Credits never expire. They have no cash value and can't be transferred to another account.
- If we change our prices, the change won't affect anything you've already bought.
5. Refunds
If you're not happy, email contact@tps505.com within 14 days of your purchase and we'll refund it in full, without asking why. The refund goes back to the card you paid with.
Any editable code you've already made from a refunded purchase keeps working. Any unused credits from that purchase are removed from your account.
Editable codes are digital content that we supply as soon as you buy them, so the statutory 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases may not apply once you've started using them. Our refund offer applies anyway. It doesn't affect your other legal rights.
6. Our never-deactivate guarantee
We never deactivate a paid code for non-payment, because there is no ongoing payment. A code is only disabled for abuse. If we ever shut down, we will give 12 months' notice and you can export every destination.
In practice, this means:
- Your editable code keeps forwarding to its destination for as long as KeepQR operates, with no further payment.
- We will only disable a code under section 8 (abuse). A refund doesn't disable a code.
- You can export all your codes, short links and destinations as a CSV file at any time.
- We won't change these terms to weaken this guarantee for codes you've already bought.
A code works only if the page it points to works, and only if it's printed clearly enough to scan. Those things are outside our control. See our promise for how we've built KeepQR to keep this guarantee.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use KeepQR, or point a code, to anything that:
- is phishing, a scam or fraud, or tries to collect people's passwords, payment details or personal data under false pretences
- contains or downloads malware, spyware or other harmful software
- is illegal in the UK, or promotes illegal activity
- sexually exploits children, promotes terrorism, or incites violence or hatred
- infringes someone else's copyright, trade marks or other rights
- impersonates another person or organisation in a misleading way
- is spam, or a chain of redirects designed to hide where a code really goes
To keep the service safe, we don't accept destinations that are other link shorteners, bare IP addresses, or anything other than ordinary http or https web addresses. We check destinations against Google's list of known unsafe sites and may refuse ones that are flagged. Each code can be edited up to 20 times a day.
You must not try to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to KeepQR or its systems.
8. How we deal with abuse
Anyone can report a code. A person reviews each report. If we're satisfied that a code breaks section 7, we'll disable it. A disabled code shows a page saying it was disabled following an abuse report. We'll email you to explain why.
If you think we've made a mistake, reply to that email and we'll look again. If a destination is plainly dangerous to the people scanning it, we may disable a code first and review afterwards. If an account is used repeatedly for abuse, we may close it. We may also report serious abuse to the police or other authorities.
9. Pausing codes and deleting your account
You can pause an editable code at any time. While it's paused, anyone who scans it sees a neutral "temporarily unavailable" page. Resume it and it works again straight away.
You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time. Your editable codes keep working, pointing to their last destinations, unless you choose to delete them too. After deletion you can no longer edit them, and any unused credits are lost. Deleted codes can't be restored, and their short links are never reused.
10. Your content and ours
You own the codes you make and the content you point them to. You give us permission to store and use your destinations, labels and settings only as needed to run the service. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use any logo you add to a code.
The KeepQR name, website and software belong to us.
11. Keeping the service running
We design KeepQR so that redirects keep working even when other parts of the service are down. But no online service can promise to be available every second, and occasionally we may need to carry out maintenance. We'll always try to keep interruptions short.
12. If KeepQR closes
If we ever decide to close KeepQR, we'll email every account holder and give at least 12 months' notice. During that time your editable codes keep working and you can export all your destinations. Static codes are unaffected, because they never depended on us.
13. Our responsibility to you
If you're a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects them. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
If you're using KeepQR for a business, we're not liable to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to a business in connection with KeepQR is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't legally be limited or excluded.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Changes never reduce the guarantee in section 6 for codes you've already bought.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at contact@tps505.com. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
